The Nero d’Avola vine’s natural resistance to heat and limited water made it a perfect match for the sun-drenched landscapes of the Western Cape, ideal for producing Sicilian wine.
What started as an experiment quickly turned into something more significant: the first-ever Nero d’Avola wine produced in South Africa. By carefully planting and nurturing these vines, Nero Wine successfully created a Sicilian wine that was both a tribute to its Sicilian origins and a fresh interpretation of African terroir.
The collaboration between the Bosman and Bakoena families made the project even more special.
